New housing must come with the roads, transport, health services and school places to support it. Steve is demanding that the Council's Local Plan puts infrastructure improvements first — not as an afterthought.

Rat-running and speeding on country roads is a real concern across the ward. Liberal Democrats have already proved in Sevenoaks Town that we prioritise road safety and are prepared to put the right measures in place. Steve will push for the same here.

The M26 slip roads that the local Liberal Democrats are campaigning for will help relieve pressure on Halstead and surrounding villages. Steve is working to make sure local residents see the benefit.
Protecting our local environment
Steve is committed to protecting the natural beauty of our area. The green belt matters, and local people deserve councillors who keep their promises on it.
Why it's time for change
Sevenoaks District Council needs fresh thinking. The current administration has struggled with instability and broken promises — including on the green belt and weekly waste collections. Meanwhile, Reform are raising taxes and cutting services at Kent County Council, despite promising the opposite.
