Sevenoaks District Council is responsible for kerbside rubbish and recycling collections from homes across Sevenoaks District. Your Liberal Democrat councillors on Sevenoaks District Council are campaigning for higher re-cycling rates and improved value for money for local residents.
Sevenoaks District Council currently sits 234th in the English league table of local authority re-cycling and the District Council spends a massive £3.4m each year on waste collection. This represents almost one fifth of all District Council revenue.
On 23rd April 2024, Cllr Alan Leaman proposed a motion to Sevenoaks District Council to put this right.
