Safer trains and stations for local Sevenoaks schools

Dear Sir,

I am pleased to report that following discussions with students and staff at Knole Academy, local councillors, and the relevant train companies, both on train and station patrols will be stepped up along the Darent Valley line from Swanley to Bat and Ball and Sevenoaks.

Ticket barriers should also be installed at Swanley station over coming months to help improve passenger safety.

Much of my time during this election campaign has been spent talking to pupils and parents about their needs, such as the lack of places, and as a former local secondary school governor I have been pleased to help them resolve these important educational issues.
