Mind the Gap - in South Eastern's new timetable

The new timetable for Sevenoaks trains to London comes in on May 21st. On the whole it's an improvement on what we've had during the London Bridge rebuild.

We get regular trains to London - 8 an hour in the peak. But there's a big gap in trains to the City.

After the 6.08 to Cannon Street there is a 45 minute gap in the City service until 6.53. Not so good if you have to be at a trading desk early.

Part of the gap - for some commuters - could have been filled by fast trains from Borough Green and Otford to Blackfriars, but they will not now happen until late 2019.

Lack of coordination between the last minute delay to the Thameslink timetable, and the new South Eastern times, has left Darenth Valley commuters stranded, and students heading for Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells with longer journeys.

South Eastern's "New Travel Opportunities" advertising slogan needs an update. We'll be pressing for these holes to be fixed - quickly!
