Broke Hill Vote: Do Conservatives Back Their Own Local Plan?
Last week, a number of Sevenoaks Conservative Councillors voted against planning permission for a new development on the old Broke Hill golf course.
Fair enough, you might think.
EXCEPT this site is listed to provide 714 new homes in the Conservative Council's own Local Plan, approved by the Conservative Cabinet in July.
Without those homes, the Conservative Plan cannot meet its targets.
We know, of course, that many Conservative councillors are hoping and expecting that the development will be approved on appeal, and that this removes the responsibility from them.
So is it IN or OUT? Do they SUPPORT or OPPOSE development on Broke Hill? Do they SUPPORT or OPPOSE their own Local Plan?
With the Conservatives, it's PLANNING CHAOS, time and time again. No direction, No proper consultation. And No vision.
Can you trust anything a Conservative Councillors says?
